About G

G is a BFDG Production Designer and Art Director in the film industry, working across feature films, HETV, commercials and music and with a background in landscape scenery. In 2009, she completed a BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture, with her final project designing a futuristic building that cures depression by donating and receiving energy through flowers.

Ironically, G began using flowers as her design medium for 10 years, before pursuing her lifelong dream of working in film. Perhaps the flower therapy had done its time - though this is still a project she is working on to do this day and one day - she will design this film! 

A deep and naturalistic understanding of colour, shape and form has developed during this time, as well as unique skills in the crossover between greens, landscape design and architectural design for film and installations. With particular interest in abstract surrealism, science fiction, conceptual natural sculpture and a dystopian built environment. 

Recent roles include:

Production Designer for a sci-fi horror feature film, set in America and filmed near Bristol, From Beyond.

Production Designer for an Abba themed zombie comedy / horror feature film filmed in The Midlands, Bjorn of the Dead.

Art Director for a modern day feature film at Pinewood Studios, The Awakening.

Standby Art Director for a BFI / Ffilm Cymru funded 90’s sci-fi feature film shot in South Wales, Out There.

Art Director for a 6 Part HETV Series written by Steven Knight, This Town.

Production Designer + Costume Designer for two short films, Atlas and On The Line.
