Hi! My name is G.

I am very proud to have designed five feature films and art directed multiple commercials, music videos, films and high end tv series. With a background in interior architecture, a past career in floral design and a hobbyist painter and writer, my work is deeply rooted in a unique and (dare I say) justified combination of organic and architectural design.

Ten years or so after my degree and a career change or two, I returned to film. My naturalistic design process is as important to me as my management skills, having successfully managed businesses my entire adult life. Stylistically, I am particularly drawn to surrealism, fantastical realism, science fiction, dark comedies, and conceptual environments. I like the weird stuff.

Whilst the big budgets are great, I also thrive with micro budgets and embrace the challenge of making the impossible possible. Priding myself on excellent management skills and keeping creative as well as calm under pressure, I ensure the art department is run collaboratively, respectfully and efficiently whilst the fictional spaces we are creating are designed with meticulous detail.

• Art Director for a Christmas Holidays commercial for an American client filmed in London, Sephora.

• Art Director for a modern day feature film at Pinewood Studios, The Awakening.

• Art Director for a 6 Part HETV Series written by Steven Knight, This Town.

• Standby Art Director for a BFI / Ffilm Cymru funded 90’s sci-fi feature film shot in South Wales, Out There.
